GAM Specter Raid Event
(updated 13-Jul-2023)
GENERAL
Please do not upgrade equipment during the event the
resulting messaging interferes with event messaging
Please do not launch rallies against treats during the event if
you have troops available to attack, you should be helping the
team by reinforcing other teammates
REINFORCE OTHERS FOR MAXIMAL POINTS
This can be done hours before the event starts, even if you
won't be online for the event
T10+: reinf 5 EMPTY estates
T8, T9: swap full march with a similarly powerful teammate,
then reinf 4 EMPTY estates
EVERYONE
o if you are reinf with T11+, you should be able to
reinf 5 EMPTY estates
o else start with 4 or 5 marches out; permanently recall if a
raid ever causes 20%+ damage to you; temporarily recall
if you are the target of an Officer Raid (explained later)
ONLY REINFORCE EMPTY ESTATES
When you click the Reinforce button on a teammate's estate, a
capacity meter is displayed if there is space for your reinf troops
If there is any blue in that meter, it means another player has
already placed their own reinf troops
Sending reinforcement to estate that already has reinf in it
(except temporarily for an officer raid) is BAD for everyone
o You will be stealing points from the teammate whose
troops were already there
o You (and the team) would likely be earning fewer points
than if you had sent your reinf march to an empty estate
(even if you chose a more powerful empty estate)
o This increases likelihood that a needy teammate gets no
reinforcement causing them to get kicked out early
If we ever get to the enviable position of getting 100% reinf
coverage, raid leader will announce "ok to double up reinf"
o Only add reinf to an estate that is less than half filled
GARRISON
For Raid 10, SH 29 and lower get dibs on garrisoning HQ at
end of Raid 9 (SH 30+ can try to join after Raid 10 starts)
For Raid 20, SH 30 and higher get dibs on garrisoning HQ at
end of Raid 19 (everyone can try to join after Raid 20 starts)
Raid 10: 1st to HQ is player with 2nd highest Hall of War (then
strength if tie) 50 troops (T10+) making them garrison leader
Raid 20: 1st to HQ is player with highest Hall of War (then
strength if tie) 50 troops (T10+) making them garrison leader
OFFICER RAIDS (Raid 7, Raid 14, Raid 17)
Only a few of our estates gets attacked by extra-strong enemy
forces
If you are under attack
o Consider recalling one or two of your marches for this
raid, returning them as reinf after the attack
o If you are lower-power player and no one is reinforcing
you yet (check your hall of war) then say so on KC
If an estate you are reinforcing is under attack, just leave those
reinf troops in place if you are worried that your
reinforcements won't be enough to fully protect this estate,
then say so on KC if no one else sends reinf
If you are not under attack
o If you have any marches available, send them as
reinforcements to closest teammate(s) who are under
attack
o For maximal points, pull back reinf from closest estate
which isn't being attacked and sending them to a
different estate that is under attack
AFTER THE OFFICER RAID: restore troops to their previous
locations
MINIMUM PREPARATION
Everyone
Make sure all your other troops have been recalled
o Even relatively strong mediums have been eliminated early
from a raid event because their troops were all out
farming/mining
Mediums and lower
Activate 2-Hour Defense Boost
o You can get one per day from catacombs store
Activate your Sea Master talent, Protection
o Protection has two phases: shield for XX minutes then stronger
defense for YY minutes
o Optimal to activate Protection such that the switch from shield
to extra defense occur halfway through the raid (60-ish min)
BASIC ACTION (weaker players)
After every attack, heal injuries in your hospital
If your castle starts smoking, check the health of your wall,
extinguish fires and fix wall damage as needed
If you don't kill at least half of the raiders attacking your castle
twice, send your troops to teammates who are still in the event
TL;DR (only for the really curious)
WHAT IS GOING ON
If a raid results in the loss of at least 50% of the attacking raiders,
then this is a victory for the player
If you lose two raids against your castle, there will be no more
raids against you, but you can and should send out your troops to
reinforce teammates who are still being attacked
For each victory, the property owner gets a fixed # of points
o # of points increases for each raid
o Points awarded may be reduced if you lose more than a
handful of troops in the attack
o For raids 10 and 20, the "owner" is the garrison leader (either
the first player into the fortress or anyone who activates Mega
Garrison, which is a big waste of 2,000 gold)
However, each player (and the team overall) can earn so many
more points with troops sent as reinf & HQ garrison
Scoring Points
"Base Points" = points awarded to owner if player prevails against
the raid (at least 50% of the raiding troops killed)
"Extra Points" = points awarded to other players for troops
reinforcing the owner's estate (or garrison leader's fortress)
Extra Points are awarded based on relative strength of troops
More points = more rewards at end of event
Scoring Example 1:
o Raid #16 where 10 million power troops are reinforcing an
estate with troops totaling 30 million
o estate owner earns 42,000 points (just like every other player
who prevailed against that raid)
o reinforcing player earns a proportion of base points, namely 10
million / (30 million + 10 million) = 25% x 42000 = 10500
Scoring Example 2:
o Same as Example 1, but two different players have each sent
10 million power marches to an estate protected with 30
million strong troops
o Estate owner always earns same base points (42000)
irrespective of the number of troops (theirs or reinf)
o Each reinforcing player earns a proportion of base points: 10M
/ (30M + 10M + 10M) = 20% x 42000 = 8400
o The team earned more points overall (2 x 8400 = 16800) than
in Example 1 (10500), but each player earned less than they
would have had they been the only reinforcing march
Scoring Example 3:
o Raid #6: 10 million power troops are reinforcing an estate that
sent out all of its troops to reinforce other players
o In other words, the estate would be defenseless were it not for
the reinforcements
o Though the estate owner had 0 troops at home, they still earn
the entirety of the base points (18000 for Raid #6)
o Since the reinforcements constituted 100% of the protection,
that player also earns 100% of the base points
o This only works if the reinforcing troops were strong enough to
beat back the raid on their own
Scoring Example 5: (our team's new standard)
o Raid #10: Gee is first into fortress with 50 T11 troops
o : Gee earns full base points: 552000
o Everyone else with garrisoned troops earns almost 552,000
points combined (99.9% of base points for 99.9% of defense)
o We have collected maximum possible points for the team
Scoring COUNTER Example 6: (similar to the way we used to do it)
o Same as Example 5, except Gee sends his own full march of
strength 66 million troops first into the garrison
o Gee still earns the same full base points: 552,000
Massive increase in troops earns Gee NO additional points
o However, everyone else only earns a small portion (like 20%)
20% of base points for providing 20% of protection
Team losses out of around 440,000 points!
The stronger the garrison leader's march of troops, the less
points earned by all other players & the team overall
